The Italian winger, who has been linked with several top European clubs, is now expected to complete his move to Anfield, bringing an exciting end to Liverpool's relatively quiet summer transfer window. Confirmation of Chiesa’s arrival came through a social media post from Liverpool John Lennon Airport. The post, made shortly before 4 pm BST, featured an image of a Cessna private jet landing from Turin, with a playful hint in the caption: “A view from the Old Air Traffic Control Tower of a Cessna landing from Turin moments ago. On a completely unrelated note, the Italian word for church is Chiesa.”

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has been patient throughout the transfer window, waiting until the final days to secure Chiesa’s signature. The Italian is geared up for the fresh challenge and is "ready" to give his all to shine along with Mohamed Salah and Co.

Chiesa is now expected to undergo a medical at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre, where he will also finalise personal terms and put pen to paper on an alleged four-year contract. Moreover, Liverpool fans may not have to wait long to see their new signing in action as the forward could make his debut as soon as this weekend, with the Reds set to face arch-rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
